Kieran Hanrahan

A banjo-player since the age of 14, Kieran Hanrahan is a performer, radio host, and lecturer in the traditional Irish music scene. Bands he has helped found include Stockton’s Wing, Inchiquin, and the Temple-house Ceili Band. He has been a radio host since 1991, and currently hosts Céilí House on RTÉ Radio 1 every week. He is an assistant lecturer at the Conservatory of Music and Drama at Dublin Institute of Technology. He is the artistic director of the Temple Bar TradFest in Dublin.
